Black Tooth Brewery | Casper Building System Inc., Casper, Wyoming

Natalie Giese

The Nolan, a 10,000 square foot renovation to the 100-year old Nolan Chevrolet building, was designed to accommodate Black Tooth Brewing Company.  Black Tooth’s interior architect capitalized on the wide open interior space, 100-year old brick walls, and exposed steel structure, to create a modern industrial Brewery and Tap Room.  The Tap Room is accented with polished concrete floors, brick, steel, and heavy wood accents.  A unique wood slat wall and ceiling, complete with Black Tooth’s buffalo head logo, provides the centerpiece of the Tap Room.  Black Tooth’s stainless steel brewing equipment is exposed to the Tap Room and adds to the industrial look.  Minimal work was done to the brick walls, showcasing the building’s century old history in its walls.  New storefront was added across the front to let natural light in and to create access to the perfect, protected exterior patio space.  While seated under the black steel pergolas on the patio, visitors can read decades old “ghost signs” that were preserved as part of the renovation.
